Springy stacking chair in laminated wood

  • Design by Troels Grum-Schwensen
  • Prototypes made by Troels Grum-Schwensen and Fritz Hansen
  • Design: 1983

This chair was my very first free-standing chair-design.

It was designed, while I was studying at the Royal Danish Academy of fine Arts, school of Architecture/furniture dpt. and meant to be used in the canteen of an – imaginary – art-museum-project.

Fritz Hansen were interested in the extraordinary simplicity of the chair – with only 3 form-pressed parts – and made additional prototypes, but did not put it into production.
