Day-bed, knock-down

  • Idea and design: Troels Grum-Schwensen
  • “One-offs” made by different small workshops
  • Design: 1987
  • Publicized: 1990 at SE90

Four aprons cut out from birch-plywood is “woven” together in the corners “half-in half”, almost like a blockhouse. In the outer corner-angles four painted triangular wooden-legs are screw-mounted. A simple and strong assembly is achieved.

Easy to produce, easy to transport, easy to assemble.

The bed is designed and executed in several variations and sizes.

It was exhibited at SE1990 and “Art, craft and design”, Vejle county 1991.
